DESCRIPTION: Position is a key role performing difficult professional work including but not limited to budget preparation, financial and operational analysis, performance measurement, best practices, and service/program costing. Other responsibilities include performing analyses related to tax and rate sufficiency; working on the capital improvement program; development of revenue projections; preparing multi-year financial forecasting; analyzing departmental budget requests and making recommendations; working with departments on costing of services for internal bids; and development of proposed budget document and three final adopted budget documents. Requires any combination of education and experience equal to graduation from an accredited college or university with a degree in business administration, public administration, management science or related field, with 2 to 3 years experience in public finance or budget administration, including analytical and operational review experience. Strong oral and written communication skills a must, as well as strong computer skills (including spreadsheet and word-processing applications). A related master�s degree a plus.
