DESCRIPTION: Work for one of the world's premier ecological agencies. The SouthFlorida Water Management District has an opening in its West Palm Beach headquarters for an executive position responsible for providing leadership and vision for organization-wide strategic information systems and technology department. The department supports District business objectives and directives and assures reliability of the District's information systems and technology infrastructure, and delivery of technological support services to users. Must provide innovative, entrepreneurial thinking in formulating business strategies and be willing to assume responsibility and/or accept risk in decision-making. The incumbent actively participates in the developmentand evaluation of District policy and strategic planning. To be considered, the candidate must possess a Master's degree in Computer Science or related field; or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Master's in Business or Public Administration, or related field and 7 + years experience encompassing multi-platform, multi-vendor information and telecommunications systems management, including both central and distributed architecture. Experience in managing a multimillion-dollar budget within a collaborative and team-oriented environment is required. A minimum of 4 years experience in a senior, decision-making, problem-solving capacity is also required.
