DESCRIPTION: Internal Audit Position reporting to Mayor and City Council. Must possess ability to design audit programs, perform internal audits, and consult on implementation of procedures in all City departments. Prepare other reports and special projects to assist City council in establishing accountability, strengthen internal controls, and improve economy and efficiency. Requirements include 4 � 5 years of audit and accounting experience and BS degree in accounting or finance. CPA or CIA certificate desired. City of Galveston residency required.
