DESCRIPTION: May underfill as Computer Programmer Analyst, requiring 4-year degree and 2 years experience in computer programming, salary range $34,561-$45,231. This is responsible professional work analyzing computer systems. Graduation from an accredited four year college or university with major course work in mathematics, computer and information systems, or systems engineering, and four years experience in information systems design, preferably application programming, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, ability, and skills. Work includes participating with cross-functional teams to analyze processes across the boundaries of all five utilities: Electric, Gas, Water, Wastewater, and Telecommunications; supporting and maintaining the Utilities; computerized financial and materials management systems using Mincom's Maintenance Information Management System (MIMS); assisting in future enhancements to applications; and being responsible for level 3 and higher support issues. Requires knowledge of the latest technology in software development and the ability to understand systems design and implementation issues. Considerable knowledge in Oracle, OpenVMS, Visual Basic or Delphi, and Windows NT/95 is highly desired. Client-server development or design experience and working knowledge of PC software applications especially MS Excel, Word, Project, Access, and Power Point highly desired.
