POSITION: Job #113/99-TRADES SUPERVISOR (SECURITY MANAGER)

AGENCY: Wake County, North Carolina

COMPENSATION: $29,896 - $39,861 (salary commensurate with experience). Wake County also provides a 401(k) supplemental retirement plan for regular and probationary employees. Wake County pays 5% of an employee's gross monthly salary into the employee's account. These contributions become the employee's upon retirement or separation from employment.

DESCRIPTION: (GSA/Central Services) - (#3232-1015-0). Minimum qualifications: High school graduation and 5 years of skilled trades experience; or equivalent. A valid NC driver's license and "safe driving record" required. Preferred: BS/BA in law enforcement, criminal justice, business administration or related field; five years supervisory or management experience in security field; knowledge and experience in security contract management, electronic security (CCTV, Access control, life safety) and physical security reviews; extensive supervisory, managerial, interpersonal, planning, organizational and communication skills. CPP certification preferred. Duties: Responsible for various aspects of comprehensive security program. Supervises security center operations (CCTV, Access controls, alarms, ID badges, intercoms, and life safety); manages security (guard force) contract; manages county's key and lock control programs and supervises Locksmith; reviews, recommends and develops security policies/procedures/operations; develops and recommends security awareness program for the County; assesses current and future protection requirements; and assists with planning security system expansions.
