DESCRIPTION: Under limited supervision, supervises, plans and directs the activities of the Community Development Department and its divisions: Code Enforcement, and Planning and Zoning; in order to ensure the proper planning and management of City and community property. Reviews work of subordinates for completeness and accuracy. Reports to the City Manager. Requires Bachelor's degree in urban planning, public administration or related field, with at least six (6) years progressively responsible administrative experience in urban planning and development, to include four (4) years supervisory experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong supervisory/managerial, technical, written and planning/organizational skills required. American Institute of Certified Planners certification and/or Master's degree is preferred. Must possess a valid state driver's license.
