DESCRIPTION: Desire college degree in horticulture, engineering, landscape architecture or related field, and 8 years of experience maintaining grounds and facilities. Requires a valid Georgia driver's license. Responsible for supervising and directing maintenance, alterations, and general upkeep of parks, cemeteries, athletic fields, golf courses, grounds, renovations, and new construction projects sponsored by the Department. Includes responsibility for the Urban Forestry Program. Will report to the Director of Parks and Recreation. Will monitor and report on the progress of all assigned projects. Will monitor and oversee the prison crew work projects, along with other park crews. Typically serves as a member of various committees that relate to parks and athletics.
