DESCRIPTION: Under general supervision performs work of moderate difficulty in complex governmental accounting work; performs related work as required or assigned. (Illustrative only) reviews and reconciles financial reports; prepares budget schedules; encumbrance accounting; coordinates centralizing purchasing program; develops department procedures; supervises staff.

Qualifications: Requires a Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or a related field; and one (1) year of professional accounting or auditing experience; governmental accounting experience is highly desirable or any combination of education, training or experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
