DESCRIPTION: The Los Angeles Unified School District is recruiting for a Director of Operations � New Facilities. The Director of Operations � New Facilities reports to the Deputy Chief Facilities Executive, New Construction and assists and reviews the administration of the school planning and construction function regarding policies, design, land acquisition, and construction programs for new schools facilities. A degree in architecture, engineering, facilities planning, or construction management is required. Candidates with registration as a professional engineer or architect will receive preference. An advanced degree in any of the mentioned fields or business administration is preferable. In addition, six years of executive or administrative experience that includes responsibility for the design and/or construction of new facilities or the planning and coordination of capital projects and/or facilities maintenance is required.
