DESCRIPTION: The City of Willows, California (Population 6,438) has an excellent employment opportunity as Library Director for the City Library.  Willows is considered to be a City of family values, exceptional parks, recreation and community services programs with affordable housing and comfortable living conditions.  It is centrally located on Interstate 5 between Sacramento and Redding, California, and is approximately thirty miles from Chico, CA which is home to Chico State University and approximately thirty eight miles from Butte Junior College located in Oroville, California. 

Applicants will preferably have a degree in Library Science, with knowledge and experience in Library Management; including budgeting, application of grants and other sources of funding.  Candidates must be capable of training Library personnel and volunteer staff.  Desirable capabilities are to formulate and maintain a progressive Library program for the citizens of Willows and Glenn County, and to promote public relations and the use of the City’s Library.
