DESCRIPTION: The duties and responsibilities of the Director of
Parks and Trees are to: plan, coordinate and supervise the activities and
operations of the Parks Department; to oversee the maintenance and operation of
cultural facilities; to provide administrative staff assistance to the Park
Commission; and to perform related duties and responsibilities as required.
Qualifications Experience:
Six years of increasingly responsible experience in arboriculture, horticulture,
parks maintenance, public works or closely related field, including at least
three years in an administrative or supervisory capacity.
Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a
Bachelor's degree in forestry, horticulture, arboriculture, public or business
administration, or a closely related field.
Substitution: Additional experience as outlined above may be substituted for two
years of college on a year-for-year basis. Additional Requirements: Possession
of a valid California driver's license.
Oroville is a full-service charter city with a population of 14,500 located in
the northern Sacramento Valley approximately 75 miles north of Sacramento.
