POSITION: INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST

COMPENSATION: Contact County for current salary range (salary commensurate with experience). Wake County also provides a 401(k)
supplemental retirement plan for regular and probationary employees. Wake County pays 5% of an employee's gross
monthly salary into the employee's account. These contributions become the employee's upon retirement or
separation from employment.

DESCRIPTION: Minimum qualifications: Associate degree in computer science or a related field and 3 years of
network, telecommunications administration, or hardware/software support experience; or equivalent. Preferred: 1-2
years networking and desktop hardware/software support experience; knowledge of current network operation
systems protocols-TCP/IP, StreetTalk for NT, Microsoft server; and ability to work in a team environment. Duties:
Provide network support to users of Wake County. Work on a team responsible for integration of network operation
systems and applications in a TCP/IP environment.
