DESCRIPTION: Technical work in managing, design, installation, troubleshooting, and repair of computer networks and all related equipment and software.  Design and install computer networks.  Prepares and maintains documentation and diagrams of the network. Troubleshoot and repair network equipment and cabling.  Monitor and manage computer network.  Administer multiple network firewalls and other network security aspects.  Research, test, and evaluate new network hardware and software products and make recommendations for purchase.  Administer Wide Area Network/WAN including frame relay and broadband VPN Tunnels.  Work is performed under the general supervision of the Network Administrator and/or Director.

Qualifications: High school graduation or equivalent with a minimum of three years experience working with microcomputers, servers and LAN environments, or an Associate Degree in Computer Science and minimum of one year of experience working with microcomputers, servers, and LAN environments.
