DESCRIPTION: Contra Costa County (Martinez, CA), located directly east of San Francisco, population over 1,000,000, seeks candidates for Labor Relations Manager, to oversee the County’s labor relations efforts, including contract negotiations, interpretation and administration. There are 12 employee organizations and 36 bargaining units representing approximately 85% of the County employees, operating under 17 separate MOUs.

The Labor Relations Manager will manage and direct the County’s Labor Relations program including negotiations, costing, contract administration and grievance investigations and resolution. Must have strong interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills. Requires five years full-time experience performing professional labor relations activities of which at least three years were in the public sector and Bachelor’s in business or public administration, industrial relations or closely related field.
