DESCRIPTION:
Current executive manager has
served since 1993. Appointed by and reports to Commissioners Court as one of six
executive managers in the county. $663.7 million total budget: 4,532 FTEs.
Excellent cultural, recreational and educational amenities in Austin. County is
seeking energetic, innovative candidates with successful background of service
in strategic planning and budgeting or in similar executive level position.
Strong emphasis on management, interpersonal and consensus building skills.
Proven track record in financial management and budgeting, team building and
organizational relations a plus. BA in public/business administration, economics
or related field required; MPA/MBA or similar advanced degree highly desirable.
