COMPENSATION: $48,924 - $61,212 + excellent benefits

This position involves highly responsible management level financial and accounting work in supervising the payroll and pension benefit payment process, and accounts receivable (AR) functions of the City.  AR functions include refuse collection billing, business licensing, loans and special tax bills, and miscellaneous AR.  This position will work under the direction of the Deputy City Manager/Finance Director and will supervise accounting staff.  Primary duties include managing these processes, supervising subordinates, reviewing financial information and preparing reports, problem solving and implementing technology solutions in a high workload environment.

Qualifications include graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in accounting or finance, five years experience in an accounting environment with at least two years of direct payroll supervision and financial system responsibilities.  CPA preferred, as well as fund accounting, accounts receivable and cash handling experience.
