This position is responsible for managing and coordinating the financial operations for the City of Berkeley, MO. As Director this position will supervises nine employees from the Finance, and the Municipal Court Divisions. Duties and responsibilities involve directing, coordinating, and controlling all activities and personnel in the City’s Finance Department; collecting revenue, paying expenditures, developing and monitoring the annual budget and advising the city and the City manager of the financial affairs of the city and coordinating efforts with public accountants for audits of the city operations. The Director reports directly to the City Manager.
Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting, Public or Business Administration with five years of progressively responsible experience or direct municipal administration, or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
