DESCRIPTION:
Under the
direction of the Manager, the Funding Facilitator is responsible to secure or
extend existing funding sources, research and increase, both the variety and
amount of future funding sources, and perform associated tasks. The incumbent
will administer the current federal aid or other funding programs and
investigate additional traditional and non-traditional funding sources. The
Funding Facilitator will administer the current federal aid programs and their
expansion. The incumbent will also coordinate with other District departments on
applications for funding and assist in coordinating legislative efforts related
to revenue pursuits.
Qualifications: The successful candidate must have considerable knowledge of
Public and private transportation or transportation-related funding sources at
Federal, State and Local levels; Federal Aid funding sources and grant
application procedures; Innovative funding techniques for transportation related
projects; and Grant administration. Must have a good knowledge of District
programs and project parameters and Federal / State laws relative to the
operations of the Highway District. Certified Grant Administrator through the
State of Idaho is preferred. Experience working with federal funding programs
and other sources of funding; and graduation from a college or university with a
degree in business, public administration or related field is preferred; OR, an
equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required
knowledge, skills and abilities may be acceptable.
